VIEW OUT OF THE WINDOW FROM LEXINGTON, SOUTH CAROLINA, USA
Dear Nata, Lena N, Lena S, Sasha, Oksana, Yura, Masha, Irina, Anya, Zhenya, Olya and Valentina.

Thank you for that wonderful description of the A View out your Window, I closed my eyes and pictured the entire landscape and it was peaceful and lovely. I envy you for such a landscape. I am going to share this my teachers and students and hopefully we will get a few more different views of the Lexington, SC and our view out their window.
I am going to tell you about my view out my kitchen window. Today is Jan. 30, 1998, It is a beautiful day in Lexington, SC. The sun is shinning brightly and it warm for a winter day in the south lands of the U.S. The temperature is 51 degrees F and will be as high today as 65 degrees F. No clouds, just a light blue, deep sky. The wind is blowing lightly and offers cool morning chill, but refreshing. I took a long walk this morning about 7:30 AM (7:30 PM your time) afew people were on their way to the work place and there is no school for the children today, it is student holiday, but the teachers and others have to meet with the students parents for conferences to discuss progress and grades, so it is quiet on the streets without the buses of children.
The tress are all bare of leaves except for the tall lean pine trees with their green needles and pine cones. The ground is moist with rain for it has rained over 18 cm this month, no snow or ice here. My garden spot in the back yard is bare except for the tree limbs and debris that I have collected over the long winter. My rose bushes and grape vines are bare as well. I look at my 2 childrens swing set and see it not being used at this time, but there is small grey squirell standing on his hind legs holding a small rond object in his petite hands. There ar 2 birds (black) that are in the Holly tree looking for food on the ground under my bird feeder. The holly tree has green pointy leaves with tiny red berries on the tree it looks wonderfully this time of the year. We use Holly as a symbol during the Christmas season. My cooking grill (used for outside grilling of food) is cokked with a winter full of dust and dirt and needs to be used soon. We love to cook outside, steaks, chicken, pork. It tast so good.
The sun is shoning trough the trees now and as it warms up the air I sense that spring is not far away. When some of your friends and Valentina arrive in SC in MArch it will be a little warmer and the trees will beginning to bloom.
Today is a good day as I look out my window. It is great to be alive and have friends in far away places like you folks.
