VIEW OUT OF THE WINDOW , ALASKA, USA
VIEW FROM MY WINDOW
Today as I look out I see the trees bending ever so slightly in a very
mild wind, as though the Birch Trees are saying hello to the Evergreen
trees. The sun is shinning very brightly, and it is +42 (F).
This is very warm for January. We have just enough snow too cover
the grass, and in some places bare ground is visible.
The sun is just barely over Pioneer Peak, which is the tallest one in our
valley, 9,874 ft. The mountains surrounding our valley are covered
with snow. I see a little flock of snowbirds eating seeds that have
falled on the ground. I am amazing at what I see, because 36 years
that I have lived in Alaska, I have never seen such warm winter with so
little snow. Thank you for letting me know what your view was like.
